LOCALIZAÇÃO

Seven years ago we came to visit the "Sertão do Una". It was love at first sight. The closeness to the Atlantica rain forest with all its beauty and power was fascinating. We started visiting the place more often and then, in less than a year, we´ve established ourselves over here.

The great diversity of fauna e flora in the area, specially the birds, which are the big attraction of this region, is the proof that the conservation of the native vegetation keeps them in the area.

We´ve put birdfeeders in different points so the species don´t have to "fight for a bite" when in fact there is more food available. The results are very rewarding. Now we have 50 different species coming to "grab a meal" regularly.

Sertão do Una  (The Una River interlands) is in the Atlantic Rainforest  at the base of the Serra do Mar mountains, is reached easily by the coastal highway and a short ride on a rural route . The landscape changes as soon as one leaves the highway behind and takes the road into the forestal area.

O feeder, instalado em casa, atrai toda a sorte de aves que pode ser  vista durante todo o ano. A frequência das espécies varia conforme a época em que as arvores da mata dão os frutos que cada uma delas prefere.

The deck feeders  attract many colourful bird species all year around, which can be closely observed from the house porches.
